History
Oak Creek Plumbing was started in 1972 by Ronald Callies. Its main focus at that time was plumbing installation for new homes, apartment building's and small commercial projects. In 1981 there was an economic turn for the worse in the new construction industry. At that point the company downsized and refocused its resources into the plumbing service and repair, and plumbing remodeling business. In 1985, Ron's son Dan came aboard the company as a first year plumbing apprentice. Four years later Dan became a licensed Journeyman Plumber and three years after that, with all the necessary training and education, Dan became a Master Plumber. About the same time Ron was vacationing in California and came across a new way of remodeling bathrooms. It was an acrylic tub and walls that was designed to fit right over existing tub and tile walls. This was a cost effective and time efficient way of updating an existing bathroom.
In 1996, Ron appointed Dan to be General Manager and 1999 Dan purchased the business from his parents Ron and Barb.
Today Oak Creek Plumbing is a multi-million dollar corporation that is based upon three different revenue generating departments: Remodeling, service & repair and retail sales. Its remodeling department is based around the tub liner and walls system. This normally gets the foot in the door for up-grades for other products. Oak Creek Plumbing Remodel has its own carpenters, drywallers, flooring, plumbers, and tile setters. Other specialty contractors are subcontracted out as needed. Although most sales are done in home with manufacture brochures and samples, Oak Creek Plumbing does maintain a showroom for up-grade sales and credibility.
